Smile Blacklisting in UWSC?

So tonight I was doing UWSC and when I was through with my area, this one dude failed and someone said to blacklist him. What exactly is blacklisting? Is that like you get their username, put it on a text document, and when you get a UWSC PUG team, you go down the list and make sure they are not on it? I always wondered.

Thank you!

Its when you put someone in your ignore list so that they won't be on the same runs as you to fail or whatever in the future..which is pretty stupid because people make mistakes, unless the person is reallllllyy bad >_>

Means they dont like you and they're going to spam your name in the districts saying you're bad and or never let you play with them again.

That's the point. Because you have so many people doing it, you have all kinds of people doing it. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

That's when the fat greasy nerd who's doing the "blacklisting" puts down the chicken leg and can of pepsi, and scribbles your IGN down on a sheet of paper along with the rest of people he doesn't like.

You could be next.

Blacklisting is a joke... "OMG we didn't do it perfect you noob! I want my elite areas as fast and mechanical as possible. Humans do not make mistakes but you did so blacklist!"

At least we know who is behind the aggressive petitioning for an expanded ignore list, hehe.

Blacklisting used to make sense when people duo farmed UW and the 55 monk scammed the necro by ditching him halfway through the fight.

For just runs and complaining about a guy making a mistake... shrug. A personal blacklist is fine, but it's not like you will be able to stop anybody else from taking a guy.

Basically you make a mistake and a noob kicks you out of their group for awhile and nothing long term happens.

Or you never do UWSC again, I forget which.

Just make sure they don't know your alt character names and change your main char names. There's ways around everything.

blacklisting happens cause pugs joining groups with A/E, even if they dont have the right build, they just join cuz they want to be part of something without worrying about ruining a group, moral of this story dont join something you've never done or cant do

don't bother w/ a pug uwsc.....you're almost guaranteed to fail and the people you play with are pretty much the "dirts and dusts of the game".

Blacklisting is an attempt to enforce the unenforceable. Essentially, it's the player's declaration from past experience that, "That dude sucks. If you take him, I'm leaving."

The problem is that if you're in a group sufficiently casual in assembling players that a blacklist would help separate wheat from chaff, you've already lost.

If you want to play with people that don't suck, do what PvPers do and network. If you play with PuGs, you're playing with the dregs of GW. They're PuGs because they're either sufficiently unskilled that no good group would have them, or sufficiently socially inept that no one will put up with them given their present skill level.

Either way, you are guaranteed to lose by playing with them. If you're just getting started with UWSC, make friends with the people you play with that are any good, and make a point to work diligently to improve your play. Do those two things, and eventually you'll find your way into groups of people that are actually worth playing with.

The only problem is none of my friends play GW and the online ones are already in a good guild group. Can't find any good ones.
